April 10: I’m pretty sure I danced throughout Los Fabulosos Cadillacs’ show at the Gibson Amphitheatre. It was my first time catching a live LFC show and I loved it.

March 5: I first saw a photo of the “City of Los Angeles/Made in Mexico” manhole cover in the now defunct Tu Ciudad magazine. I found one on UCLA’s campus on a path I walk through frequently. I guess sometimes I just need to look down.

I stopped the daily photo project some time during February. There simply wasn’t much to photograph. I miss it now. The photo project was my daily diary of what I did, where I went, who I was with, what I saw, etc.
I intend to restart it in May. I do more exciting things in the spring and summer months than in the winter.
For now, I’ll just catch up on the last couple of months.

When I found the above photo of my dad, he joked that he was trying to look like Rigo Tovar. I saw something else: proof that my affinity for huge sunglasses and other weird eyewear is genetic or at the very least a learned behavior. I was born/socialized to like glasses that cover most of my face.
Now maybe Oso will stop threatening to hide my sunglasses. Hater.
